Hey guyssssss⦠š **crickets **
I KNOW, I KNOW. Iāve been gone AGAIN. But listenāsometimes you just need a breakkkkkk (or BREAKSSS) from reality, you know? Anyway, enough of the pity party LOL. Iāve done a couple of new things lately, and I have stories to tell!
One of them? My first visit to Welchman Hall Gully. And let me tell you, if I were a plant, fairy, or some type of wild species, this place would be my dream home. Itās airy, itās stunningly beautiful, and most importantly? The silence is LOUD. (probably my favorite part hahaha).
So, letās get into it.

welcome to the jungle⦠I mean, gully š³
Upon arrival, I was greeted by ‘The Chunky Monkey’ shop and cafĆ© (love the name btw). This is where you pay for entry, grab some snacks, and mentally prepare for whatever adventure awaits inside.
I got my favorite fruit snacks (Welchās gang where you at?!) and a pack of chips but before I even made it inside, I noticed something⦠some cats.
As you can see, the cats of Welchman Hall Gully are LIVING and honestly? I was jealous (kinda). Imagine being that at peace with life.

a park⦠WITH A WHAT?! š¢š¤Æ
Okay, first plot twist of the dayāthereās a park inside this gully. And not just any park. Hear me out…
A PARK.
WITH A ZIPLINE.
WHERE THEY DO THAT AT?!
If youāve got kids, TAKE THEM! Maybe even leave them thereāLOL, kiddinggggg (not really). But seriously, this was unexpected and super cool. I shouldāve worn sneakers and gave it a go myself. I mean I could practically pass for a kid, right?
Next time for sure.

the actual gully walk: lowkey creepy, highkey peaceful šæāØ
Now the real adventure begins.
I left the park behind, snacks in hand, and I’m venturing deep into the gully. And when I say deep, I mean it. Welchman Hall Gully is a lengthy walkāso if you ever go, wear comfortable shoes.
The deeper I went, the more I noticed:
āļø Monumental plaques dedicated to people from eons ago.
āļø Carved trees with initials from decades past (love stories? ghost stories? who knows š)
āļø A variety of exotic plants that I could totally pretend to know the names of but wonāt š .
At some point, I realizedā¦
I had NO IDEA where I was going.
Did that stop me? Nope. I just kept walking like I knew exactly where this trail would lead me (spoiler alert: I did not). But there was something peaceful about that. Just nature, and a slight feeling of āam I being watched?ā(probably just the trees⦠hopefully just the trees š).

dead ends? š§are you kidding me?!
At some point, after confidently strutting down the path (as if I had GPS in my brain), I ended up at a dead end. Well, technically, I ended up at the roadside⦠but there was a locked gate.
Sooooo, where do I go from here?
Now, two things were happening simultaneously:
1ļøā£ I was lost. (Obviously.)
2ļøā£ I am the queen of panic. (Not great.)
And to make things worse? I was on the hunt for this āamazingā view that I was supposed to stumble upon on my way back to the entrance. Now I would hate to believe that the āamazingā view⦠is this roadside. š
So, with zero other options, I turned around and started walking back the same way I came.

and then⦠I heard a voice. šµāš«š
Listen. LISTEN.
Yāall. I WISH I was joking.
I was walking back, minding my business, just thinking about how embarrassing it would be if I had to call someone to guide me out whenābrace yourselvesāI HEARD A VOICE.
A real, actual, talking voice.
Now, let me be clear. There was no one around. The gully was basically empty, like I had not seen another soulduring this time.
If I could’ve flew back to the entrance, I WOULD! š
I never walked so fast in my life. I donāt know what that was but I was NOT about to stick around to find out!
I came to explore, not make ghost friends. LET ME OUT!

finally⦠the view! š
After power-walking like my life depended on it, I finally made it back to the park area (aka my safe zone). And then, I spotted a staircase.
A staircase leading to⦠THE VIEW.
The real breathtaking view that everyone and their mother comes to see. And let me tell you, WOW.
āļø So breezy
āļø So peaceful
āļø So beautiful
I took a million and one pictures. I couldāve stayed up there all day (was about to say āall nightā too, but then I remembered the voice I heard – never mindš).

Once I was done soaking it all in, I checked the timeājust about closing. Perfect. Time to wrap this adventure up before anything else spooky happens. š

10/10, would (cautiously) visit again š¬
Would I go back? Absolutely. The mix of peaceful, wild, and slightly eerie vibes made it a really cool experience.
Now tell me⦠have you ever been to Welchman Hall Gully? And have YOU ever heard random voices in a completely empty space or is it just me?! š
