Hey guys, today I have a mini haul for you. Well… it’s literally ONE item 😂🤣 but hear me out.

Since I’ve been diving deeper into running lately, I realized I needed proper running shoes ASAP. And honestly? The ones I’ve been using were hanging on by a THREAD 😭
Like… just look at these.

The soles are literally about to fall off 💀
But let’s be real, I’ve had those shoes for about 8 years, so I think it’s safe to say I got my money’s worth 😂
Another reason I needed new running shoes? My ankles need more support. Between outdoor runs, sprint workouts, hill sprints, and trying to take my fitness journey more seriously, I knew it was time to retire the struggle sneakers once and for all 🫡. Besides, they weren’t even running shoes 😭.
The Running Shoes I Got 👟
I ended up going with the Puma Skyrocket Lite 2 running shoes.

I went with these because they checked off all the boxes:
- affordable running shoes ✔️
- lightweight ✔️
- sleek ✔️
- comfortable ✔️
- beginner runner friendly ✔️
And honestly? That’s exactly what I need right now.
I’m not training for a marathon or anything crazy (yet 😂), so I wanted something simple, supportive, and comfortable enough for my runs and sprint workouts.

My First Impressions 👀
The FIRST thing that caught my attention was actually the colorway.
Apart from pink, I absolutely LOVE pastels 🌸💚
I went with this lilac and lime green combo and something about it just feels so cool and calming. It’s giving sporty… but cute 😂

The style itself is also really sleek and simple. Nothing too chunky or over the top.
Now the comfort?
Once I tried these on and started walking — and lowkey running around the store a little bit 🤣 — I was immediately like:
“Yeah… I’m getting these.”
They fit super snug and accurate to size. I usually wear a women’s US 6.5, but I ended up getting a men’s US 5 because that’s what they had available.
Let’s Talk Cushioning 👟☁️
For a beginner-level runner like me, I feel like these have just the right amount of cushioning.
Nothing too overpowering.
Nothing too bulky.
Just enough support to feel comfortable while running.

Now, I do feel like more experienced runners — especially people training for long-distance runs or marathons — may prefer shoes with more cushioning and support for impact protection.
But honestly, running shoes are SUCH a personal preference thing. Everybody likes different levels of support, stability, and cushioning depending on their running style.

What I’m MOST Excited To Test 🏃🏽♀️✨
- outdoor runs
- sprint workouts
- longer runs
- ankle support
- durability
Because listen…
Cute is great.
But if these shoes survive hill sprints? THEN we’re really talking 😂😭
I’ll definitely keep y’all updated once I properly test them out because first impressions are one thing… but the REAL test is how they actually perform over time.
Finally 💭
Overall, I’m really excited about these.

I feel like they’re a great affordable beginner running shoe option, especially if you’re just getting into fitness, running, jogging, or sprint workouts like me.
So stay tuned! I’ll be back with a review✨
