Sooo… we need to talk. Not in a dramatic reality TV kinda way, but like… I have big news. I REBRANDED MY BLOG!! Lady Social? Yeah… she’s gone. She left the group chat. She’s not coming back. 😭✌🏽

Why I rebranded my blog?

Was Lady Social ever giving? Honestly? No. And that’s the tea ☕

When I came up with the name Lady Social, I thought I was doing something. Like, I really sat there, stared at the ceiling, and convinced myself this made sense. 💀 I even slept on it and everything — as if that was gonna magically give it purpose. Guess what, it didn’t.

I mean… “Lady”? Sure. That part stuck, I guess. But “Social”??? Be so fr. I am by no means a social butterfly. 🦋 More like a bed rotter with a blog and a dream LOL. So what was I doing combining “Lady” and “Social” and just slapping pink all over it like that was gonna fix everything? 😂 One word, delusion.

Eventually the name started giving… ick. Like one day I looked at it and went: “Wait, this ain’t even me.” 🫠

So I did what any logical person would do — I made a list of everything that screams SHAKIRA:

• Pink? ✔️
• Flowers? ✔️
• Christmas?? (Yes. Leave me alone.) 🎄
• Creativity, pastels, fun vibes? ALL CHECKED ✅

I knew I wanted something soft but fun. Cute but not cliché. Personal, but still marketable because… hello, ✨branding matters✨.

Blog name change: the name hunt 🕵🏽‍♀️

Originally, I landed on Pink Scribbles — simple, adorable, very me. Until the universe said: “LOL no.” Because the Insta handle was taken (by someone posting selfies, 😤). I thought about spelling it “Pink Scribblez” to be edgy but like… who’s googling that? Nobody. 

So unless I’m trying to trend under “low views,”… no.

That’s when it hit me: The Pink Scribble.
One “The” and suddenly it’s giving blog title. ✨It’s giving personality.✨ It’s giving everything I want it to give.

The name checks every box:

• The = main character energy 😌
• Pink = the essence of my soul 🎀
• Scribble = writing, blogging, oversharing — my fave hobby 💻

Then I added some flowers to the logo (because I had to include them somehow), chose a fun retro font and BOOM — we had a blog name change and a full on rebrand.

Before settling on The Pink Scribble, I spent way too much time reading blog branding tips and thinking about what I wanted this space to become.

So here we are: The Pink Scribble is live! And I can honestly say that with this blog name change… I no longer have the ick. LOL. Everything feels right again. Like my blog finally grew into the person I always knew she could be. 💕

I’m so excited for this new chapter and to share even more chaotic, honest, possibly-too-much-info blog posts with you.
