Normally, my Christmas decor stays up until January 31st.

No questions. No negotiations. Just vibes. 😂

But this year? I decided to switch things up.

Not because the decor was bothering me — absolutely not.

I just needed that minimalist, fresh start, new year energy back in my space.

So let’s get into this Christmas decor takedown + home reset journey.

Step 1: Storage 🧺

First things first — I needed more storage.

Because yes, the number of my Christmas trees is elevating again.

Are you surprised?

No?

Me neither.

So off to Kooyman I went to grab a big storage bin and prepare for battle.

Step 2: Outdoor Decor = The Real Enemy 🌴🎄

I decided to tackle the outdoors first.

One whole day passed…

And I only finished one patio.

ONE.

At that point I was like:

“How long is this going to take?!” 😭

Spoiler:

Took another day to finish the balcony.

Step 3: The Indoor Madness Begins 🏠

Let’s talk about day three.

Embarrassing? Yes.

But tell me why my smart self decided to:

  • Take down decor
  • Deep clean
  • Do laundry
  • And reorganize

All at the same time???

Do I even like myself??? 😭

To make things worse, I needed another bin.

But this girl wasn’t going to the store alone. So what did I do? Grabbed some trash bags and placed all of those ornaments in until I got the bin.

Temporary storage.

Because the show must go on, duh.

Step 4: Deep Cleaning… Again 😫

Once everything was finally down, it was time to clean:

✨ Sweeping

✨ Mopping

✨ Dusting

✨ Wiping

✨ Re-cleaning things I already cleaned for Christmas

At this point, I was running on fumes.

But I HAD to finish.

No turning back now.

Step 5: The Home Reset Glow-Up ✨

Finally, it was time to bring the regular decor back out. So I:

  • Added new wall art
  • Rearranged the furniture (my specialty 😌)
  • Created a cozy, minimalist vibe

And just like that…

The home reset was complete.

Was It Worth It? 😂

This took almost 4 days.

Yes, I’m still tired.

Yes, I might sleep until Jesus comes.

Yes, I’ll probably see y’all in the afterlife.

But my home is reset, refreshed, and giving new year energy — and honestly?

Worth it. Go watch the vlog!

TTYLLLL 💤💀✨
