Welcome back to my christmas decorating saga! Itโ€™s been a wild ride, but weโ€™ve finally made it toย part two, and let me just sayโ€”itโ€™s been a mix of laughs, and near meltdowns (but in a festive way, of course). Letโ€™s dive into how I transformed my bedroom, kitchen, and outdoor space into a holiday wonderland. It wasย notย without drama.๐Ÿ™ƒ

bedroom bliss: hello sunshine! ๐ŸŒž

When it came to my bedroom, I wanted a vibe that wasย bright, open, and simple. My color palette revolved around sunny yellows, which isnโ€™t my go-to wardrobe color, but somehow, I managed to find a few pieces to match the decor. (My clothing rack was definitely vibing!)ย

Christmas decorating

Now, hereโ€™s the kickerโ€”scrunchies as curtain ties.ย Yes, you read that right. Weird and unconventional? Maybe. Cute and functional? Can’t tell me not. Oh and I’m a minimalist so there’s not too much going on in my bedroom. Nexxtttt…

My cozy bedroom refresh journey

kitchen festivities: the ribbon chase ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿด

The kitchen was my sisterโ€™s idea.ย She made me do it.ย (Yes, Iโ€™m saying that in the most forced tone of voice.) But you know what? It turned outย super festive!

We wrapped the cabinets like gifts, complete with bows that almost didnโ€™t happen. Why? Because finding navy blue ribbon in Barbados was like looking for snowโ€”nonexistent!ย I searched high and low, called every store, and luckily โ€œSlaying Christmasโ€ saved the day. Bless them! It was about to be navy blue or NOTHING! Yeah, don’t tell her I said that. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Well… the minimal decor on the counter alone wouldn’t have been too bad, right? ๐Ÿฅด

Speaking of the counter, we added a holiday-themedย “Cookie Butter Truffle” candleย from Bath & Body Works and OMG, this candle smells like aย warm vanilla hug. Itโ€™s so good, I’m about to be burning this all day long!ย

outdoor adventures: snow art struggles โ„๏ธ๐ŸŒŸ

Now for the outdoors. Decorating the trees and putting up garland?ย A breeze.ย But the snow art on the window? Geez! I almost didn’t even bother with that.ย

First, I neededย stencilsย because letโ€™s face itโ€”Iโ€™m creative but not Michelangelo. I didn’t even waste my time searching for those locally (Barbados problems), so I decided to DIY them. Deep breath everyone… ’cause thatโ€™s when the real drama started.

I needed aย hobby knife, and apparently, thatโ€™s a foreign item in this part of the world. Again, I visited multiple stores and made countless calls. I even found the blades without handles. Like omg, what is going on? Thatโ€™s like serving cereal without milk!ย

Sigh, the day was passing me by. I got completely frustrated and overwhelmed and did what any rational person would doโ€”I went straight to bed. Friend, it wasn’t even night time.

Literally moments later, a kind soul supplied me with a hobby knife, and I finally got to work. Look at God! I didn’t even have to worry about purchasing one anymore. Cutting out stencils wasย tedious and time-consuming, but the final result? Totally worth it. My snow art turned out so cute, I almost forgot the struggle. Not really.

wrapping up: my holiday wonderland ๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿฝ๐ŸŽ

And thatโ€™s a wrap for my holiday decor this year! From scrunchie curtain ties to a full-on ribbon chase, itโ€™s been an adventure. But seeing everything come together made all the effort (and minor breakdowns) worth it.

What about you? Howโ€™s your Christmas decorating going this year? Are you keeping it simple or going all out? Let me know in the commentsโ€”and if youโ€™ve ever had to hunt for impossible-to-find craft supplies, letโ€™s sympathize together.

Wishing you all a merry, magical Christmas filled with joy, laughter, and maybe a few scrunchies. ๐ŸŽ„

Stick around for more festive fun, and donโ€™t forget to check outย part one of my Christmas decorating journeyย if you missed it! ๐ŸŽโœจย
