Happy Happy Sunday, friendsies! 🎉 Grab your popcorn because I’m back with another story-time—actually, scratch that. This is like two stories in one because apparently, my life loves serving me double doses of chaos. Ever since I started blogging, borderline ridiculous things just keep happening to me. Weird? Probably. Good content? Absolutely. 😎

chapter 1: the night that went nowhere 🚗💨

Ok, so BOOM. 💥 Let’s rewind to a week before our actual girls’ night out. It’s me and my bestie, B. We decided to try this new restaurant on the West Coast called The Coast(creative name, I know). Did we know what it looked like? Nope. Were there any pictures online? Nada. Did that stop us? Not one bit. Honestly, we could’ve been walking into somebody’s backyard and we would’ve shown up in heels.

Now here’s where it gets fun (or dumb, depending on how you look at it). We didn’t call ahead to book a reservation. Nope. We waited until we were literally getting ready to call—around 9:15 PM. The restaurant told us, “Sure, you can come, but don’t be late because the kitchen closes at 9:45 PM.”

If we weren’t doomed before, we’re definitely doomed now. 🚩

Because here’s the thing—we live in Christ Church. The Coast is in St. Peter. That’s like trying to teleport. But did that stop us? Also no.  While racing against time, we even called other restaurants as a backup plan, but their kitchens were already closed. Sighhhh. If delusion were a person, it would be both of us, conjoined.

Somewhere around the halfway mark, reality hit. We pulled over and just sat there silently questioning our life choices. LOL. Imagine two girls in heels, dining dresses, full glam and everything. Just dressed to kill to go NOWHERE. 😂

We admitted defeat and went home. But this time, we chose to go to Sea Shed instead.

chapter 2: take two at Sea Shed 🌊🍽️

Fast forward to the following week. We decided to play it smart and booked a reservation at Sea Shed because they’re always fully booked. This time, we set it for 5:30 PMto catch the sunset. 🌅

Guess what time we left the house? Never mind I’m not telling you. 😩

Panic mode activated. We’re rushing to get ready while frantically trying to call Sea Shed to let them know we’re running late. But no one picked up. I could just feel déjà vu creeping in. Sighh.

45 minutes later, why are we now making our way to the restaurant? Travelling by faith and all, hoping that they would still accommodate us. I’m talking fingers and toes crossed. Once we arrived, we approached the host with our best “bad traffic” excuse. Of course she didn’t buy it and luckily didn’t turn us away. She seated us elsewhere, but honestly, as long as we were in, we didn’t care.

the burrito bowl incident 🌯🚩

After soaking in the views and calming our nerves, we ordered. I went for a burrito bowl and a mango drink (can’t remember the name, but it was good).

I was really enjoying the burrito bowl too (removed those onions expeditiously though) until I was almost done. Suddenly… I see a curly piece of hair at the bottom of my bowl AND it definitely wasn’t mine or B’s because we both have straight hair.

I stared at it, questioning my existence, then called the waiter. She took the bowl, asked if I wanted something else (I politely declined), and disappeared.

We sat there, wondering if someone would come over to apologize, offer us a free dessert, acknowledge our traumasomething. Nope. Crickets.

When the bill arrived, the waiter casually mentioned, “Oh, we took the burrito bowl off.”

Okay… wonderful, I guess. 🙃

the night ends with a photoshoot (because why not?) 📸

After all that drama, what did we do? Took hundreds of pictures (not really). But that was our girls’ night out—a rollercoaster of missed reservations, late arrivals, and unexpected hair discoveries.

Has anything like this ever happened to you? Drop your stories in the comments because I need to know I’m not alone in this chaotic universe. 😂

Until next time, friendsies! 💕
