Apart from my newly found internet life (loool), y’all know I work in corporate — and it’s slowly becoming a thing for my team to do an end-of-year outing to celebrate surviving another year.
Last year we went to Zemi Café, which was cute and all… but 2025 said “let’s switch it up.”
So this year? We decided on lunch at The Tides — and baby… I have thoughts.
Let’s get into it fr 😂
📅 The Day Of… Already Off to a Strong Start
Tell me WHY the day of the lunch, my boss thought the event was the next day.
Yes.
That blank stare you’re imagining? That’s the one.
So you remembered earlier in the week… but not the actual day?
Sir, respectfully — get it together or just give me the card and let me and the girls go.
Thankfully, he was justtt kidding 😂
But whew… I was READY to max that thing out.
🚗 Parking? Non-Existent. Vibes? Still Loading…
We arrive and there is literally nowhere to park.
Cones blocking the entrance.
Car park full to capacity.
Me: “Does anything ever go smoothly on planet Earth?”
Thankfully, they offer valet parking, so we hopped out, handed over the keys, and made our way inside while they handled the chaos.
🎄 Walking In Felt Like Christmas Heaven
GUYS.
If you thought I delivered with my Christmas decorations, you need to see inside The Tides.
• Christmas trees on every corner

• Festive elegance EVERYWHERE
• Mirrors on every wall

Do I need to see myself that much?
Absolutely. Especially in a place like this 😌
And yes… I got the proof. Duh 📸

Ocean View Seating = Immediate Camera Mode 📸🌊
Our table had a clear ocean view, and once we sat down all I wanted to do was take pictures.

It was so beautiful I almost forgot we were still on island 😂
The vibes were calm, classy, and perfect for a relaxed team lunch.
🍽️ What I Ordered at The Tides (Festive Menu)

Starter
Asian-style pulled pork spring rolls

✔️ Really good
✔️ Unexpectedly filling
I usually skip starters because I have a little tummy and get full quick… but idk, growth happened that day 😂
Main Course
Creamy chicken Alfredo linguine

Paired with a passionfruit mocktail called “A Little Passion” (yes, I forgot to take a pic of the drinks menu 🙃)

The pasta was GOOD — like really good — but I could not finish it. Those spring rolls did not come to play. I ate most of it though… don’t disrespect me 😂.
The Service at The Tides Restaurant 👏🏽
Our waiter was:
• Super attentive
• Pleasant
• Clearly hardworking
I sadly don’t remember his name (something I really need to work on because recognition matters), but honestly — all the staff we interacted with were great. He just stood out the most.
The Vibes Were Vibing 😂
Our team is basically a group of people who laugh at everything. Like… EVERYTHING.
So imagine every time the waiter comes out with food:
- Cameras flying out
- Pictures being taken
- My boss whispering, “What are you guys doing?” in the most embarrassed tone imaginable 😂😂😂
Sir. We are young. You are… seasoned.
This is called making memories. Documenting life. Maybe this is a once-in-a-lifetime thing for some of us — let us live 😭
🍰 Dessert Was Non-Negotiable
Of course I ordered the Christmas cake.
If you know me, you KNOW I love Christmas cake.
Growing up, it was literally the only cake I would eat — that’s how serious this is.

Topped with ice cream?
✔️ Bursting tummy
✔️ Chef’s kiss
✔️ No regrets
The Tides Restaurant Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Overall experience?
✔️ Relaxing atmosphere
✔️ Tasty food
✔️ Amazing ocean views
✔️ Attentive staff
✔️ Not awkward at all (even with my boss there 😂)
I’m kidding — he’s cool 👀
And on behalf of the team, many thanks to him for appreciating, recognizing, and celebrating our efforts! 🫶🏽
Would I Recommend The Tides Restaurant? YES. Period.
Whether you’re:
- Planning a team lunch
- Looking for a festive restaurant
- Wanting a romantic ocean-view dining experience
- Or just love good food and great vibes
The Tides Restaurant is definitely worth it.
And yes — I’d go back. Cameras and all 📸😂
